Renfe Train Classes
Generally, Renfe trains offer two travel classes to select from, Turista (Second class) and Preferente (First class). But if you decide to discover wonders of Europe using AVE high-speed service, you should know that these modern trains also offer Turista Plus (advanced Second class) which comes with first class seats but without special weekday catering service.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TURISTA AND PREFERENTE?
The main difference between these travel classes is the seat arrangement. Turista coaches have 2 by 2 seat configuration, and Preferente offers a much more comfortable set-up: 2 seats on the left and 1 on the right. Another perk of buying a Preferente ticket is included catering service, access to Renfe VIP lounges, and free car parking at the station if you plan to return in 48 hours

Yes, regarding of the class, all Renfe trains have clean public bathrooms available for all passengers during the ride.
